Monkey Hooks
We were at a friend’s house for dinner a few weeks ago, hanging around in the kitchen, and I pulled open what I figured to be their junk drawer, and it was. Right there on top was a pack of ear-shaped, spring-steel things called Monkey Hooks. They are for hanging pictures on drywall-covered walls. I asked my friend whether I could have a couple of the clips, and she told me no, I couldn’t considering she needed them and that I should get my own, which I did. Ingenious and simple, the clips twist into a wall and thereupon lock into place. Each clip is rated to hold 50 pounds, and I have no doubt that it will. You can go on the Monkey Hook website and watch a video of an actual monkey wearing red gym shorts insert on of the clips in a wall. At the end of the video, an appealing woman sits next to the monkey and puts in one of the hooks next, she and the monkey kiss, which I thought was a little yucky. The company additionally makes heavy duty Gorilla clips that will hold larger loads. Thank god the site did not have a video of a gorilla and the monkey kissing considering that would be really gross.
